NEW YORK, NYRagtag Productions is proud to announce they have begun
shooting their new ongoing web-series “We Need Girlfriends” on September
16th, 2006. There is commitment of twelve 5-minute episodes for the first
season. A new episode will be available every month on several popular
websites and will also be downloadable to video Ipods.

“We Need Girlfriends” chronicles the adventures of Tom (Patrick Cohen),
Henry (Seth Kirschner) and Rod (Evan Bass), recent college graduates
struggling to understand the complex world of the New York dating scene
after all three are simultaneously dumped by their long-term college
girlfriends. The series will showcase the quirky sense of humor Ragtag
Productions is known for, while also showing some heart.

The pilot is to be directed by Brian Amyot from a script by Steven Tsapelas.
Angel Acevedo will be the cinematographer and Brady Sansone is returning to
score the series. Subsequent episodes will feature talented young directors
and writers bringing their own experiences to this unique series.

“We Need Girlfriends” also marks the first time Ragtag has worked with
actors Patrick Cohen, Seth Kirschner and Evan Bass. Patrick Cohen graduated
from Providence College with a BA in Theatre Arts/English. He also has
training from the New England Academy of Theatre. He has appeared on stage
in numerous New York Theater productions including three plays with the
American Theatre of Actors. He was the lead in the horror film Raving
Maniacs. Seth Kirschner is a veteran of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater
where he performs with his comedy troupe “That’s My Booze.” Seth has
appeared in the Off-Broadway show “Current Events,” multiple independent
films and National TV commercials. Evan Bass is a Columbia University
graduate, trained in the Meisner Technique from the WARD Acting Studio. His
previous credits include the films “Black Mary,” “Cubed,” and
“Afterthoughts.” Evan is currently featured on the hit soap opera “One Life
to Live.”

Ragtag Productions is a successful New York based independent production
company, founded by Angel Acevedo, Brian Amyot and Steven Tsapelas. Ragtag
has won national attention and numerous awards for its short films “Teenage
Superhero Pregnancy Scare,” “Double Dip or How Four Discs of Pearl Harbor
Ruined My Life,” “Merry Christmas… I Got You Herpes” and “My Imaginary
